Huge Flashforge Adventurer 5M Udate! (Orca-Flashforge & Flash Maker Mobile App Release!)

Flashforge have just released something that all Adventurer 5M series owners have been waiting for, let’s talk about the new Orca-Flashforge and Flash Maker.

Now if you haven’t heard of the Adventurer 5M series printers then let me give you quick rundown. At the end of Last year Flashforge released two new printers called the Adventurer 5M & 5M Pro.

These printers are their first real high speed core-xy 3d printers and their response to Bambu Lab. The printers are both fantastic, producing great quality prints and being compatible with their own FlashPrint slicer as well as the widely popular OrcaSlicer. However until now you have not been able to send prints wirelessly to the printer through OrcaSlicer or even view the camera.

With the release of Orca-Flashforge you can now do both these things, making both the printers now real Bambu Lab competitors. But it doesn’t stop there, not only did they release Orca-Flashforge but they also finally released a phone app for remote monitoring called Flash Maker. I’ll create a dedicated blog walkthrough of how to set up your 5M series printer in Flash Maker in the coming days.

There is also one big thing that I mentioned in my 5M review that I believe now is confirmed to be coming. I mentioned that they may release a multi material system soon, and if you open Orca-Flashforge and head to the device tab, there is now a section called Material Station. With a status of not connected.

I believe this will be their new multi-material system for hopefully the 5M series if not it will be for the next model released later this year.

Flashforge has definitely been listening to the community and have provided their customers with exactly what they have asked for, It’s great to see a company that really listens to its community.
