*Multi-Colour Printing* For All 3D Printers!! (Co Print Chroma Set)

Today we are going to be taking a look at a new range of 3d printing products from a company called Co Print. Now if you haven’t heard of Co Print before they are a company that specialises in multi colour solutions for 3d printers, and the new range that we are looking at today seems to be a multi colour solution for all 3d printers.

Alright so their new series 2 range or Chroma range consists of 3 products; ChromaPad, ChromaHead and CX1-Extruder.

Now from a brief look the ChromaPad looks like a touchscreen display that can be connected to a printer, the ChromaHead looks like a multi colour print head similar to what was released on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini, and the CX1 Extruder looks like an ordinary extruder that feeds filament into the printhead.

But enough of brief looks, let's dive into what these new products can really do.

Now I'm not going to cover everything about these products as that would be a very long blog so I'll cover a few things and link the product pages so that you can check them out for yourselves.

ChromaPad

ChromaPad is more than just a touchscreen display, it is the heart of the Chroma Set and is a multi filament (not just multi colour) enabled Klipper based 3D printing pad which is powerful enough to control up to 8 3D printers remotely while also giving them a boost in speed.

It is equipped with a large IO including 3x USB ports, 5x stepper motor connections, and dedicated connection ports for the ChromaHead, Input Shaper Sensor and Multi Filament Module.

The ChromaPad has a remote control feature that allows you to manager your projects from your phone, pc or tablet. It also provides you with model previews, user-defined macro options, real time monitoring of your printer with a camera and easy time-lapse shooting of your prints.

ChromaHead

The ChromaHead is a multi material print head that is compatible with a wide range of 3d printers. It can be attached to all cartesian style 3d printers, printers with linear rails as well as printers that use rods and bearings.

The print head has a max nozzle temperature of 350 degrees Celsius and features rapid heating and cooling capabilities. This high temperature capability gives you the ability to print engineering materials such as ABS, ASA PLA-CF and more.

Due to ChromaHead’s cooling system, advanced heating and high flow rate you can also increase the speeds of your 3D printer up to from what I can see is 300mm/s. Which is definitely a good selling point for me as I would like to add this set to my old printer the Artillery Sidewinder X1.

CX-1 Extruder

The CX1 Extruder is a titanium geared, dual drive extruder designed for fast and colourful 3D printing. When combined with the ChromaPad and ChromaHead you can add up to 20 colours to your 3D prints!

To make adding 20 colours to your prints easier Co Print have also created what they are calling an ECM or (Extended Chroma Module) which allows you to add five more extruders to your ChromaPad via a USB port.

If you are interested in the Chroma Set and are after more information, then you can either check out their website or visit their recently launched and fully funded Kickstarter campaign.
