Flashforge Adventurer 5M - Multicolour 3D Printing
Today I'm going to be attempting some multi colour prints on the Flashforge Adventurer 5M. Now you may be wondering, how is Matteo going to multi colour print with a single extruder machine and no multi material system?
Well before Bambu Lab graced us with in my opinion the easiest way to multicolour 3D print the ams, we had to do things the old fashion way. Which meant manually pausing the print and changing our spool of filament to a different colour.
Luckily the Adventuer 5M is compatible with Orca Slicer and Orca-Flashforge which in case you weren't already aware has a pause at layer function after slicing.
So what were going to do is we are going to load up this mother's day file by Just_Josh on Makerworld, as mother's day in Australia is tomorrow and slice it as we usually would.
Once it's sliced we are going to use the slider on the right side to find where we would like to pause the print to change colour.
Now that we have found where we would like to change colours we are going to right click on the slider and select add pause. If you would like to see a preview of what the colours would look like on your model then change the pause to change colour. but make sure you change it back to pause before sending the file to the printer.
Now we just re-slice the file and send it to the Adventurer 5M.
